Enjoy Amalfi Coast with us!
From Maiori, navigate to Levante .... where the sun rises, discover the wild nature of the rocks of Capo d'Orso that fall into the sea, the bay of the "Beach of the Dead Horse", where you can enjoy a swim, then sail to Erchie. Its magnificent tower masters on the water still seems to want to defend against pirate raids, the precious beach houses full of seafood. To swim in the waters of Erchie is a must! It 's the best place to take refuge from the summer hot: the breeze almost every day sweeps the water of the sea, offering a welcome coolness. The large sundeck goiter of La Bellavita makes it even more enjoyable.
Starting from Maiori and following the route of the West, the first meeting with Minor, known as the city of the taste, the city of "Pasta". Here in the past produced huge quantities of pasta and a variety of quality, tradition still handed down in families where the women of the house are dedicated to the ritual of the weekend home-made pasta. Even here it is assumed that originated the dough for the first Neapolitan pizza.
Continuing to follow the route, scattered with rocks and cliffs overlooking the sea, we arrive at Atrani, the country "Nativity", charming and attractive, bursting with summer nights, an old fishing village, today a small tourist pearl of the Coast.
Around the corner is Amalfi, the most important country, from which it takes its name from the coast. First maritime republic, a city of sailors who ruled the roost in the Mediterranean for centuries and, still today, in the rules of navigation there are articles enshrined in the "Tables of Amalfi." Amalfitano was "Flavio Gioia" which made a great service to the navies of the world, improving the Magnetic Compass, as we know it today.
Conca dei Marini
Amalfi leaving us behind, we reach the first beaches of the west coast, Duoglio and Santa Croce, where the natural arch in the rock acts as a bridge between the mainland and a large rock. A little further on another beach, Marinella di Vettica, protected from the ridge where stands the Cape Vettica, an ancient watchtower, which was in the year 60, villa Carlo Ponti and Sophia Loren. Rounding the Cape of Vettica, opens to view another beautiful bay, to Conca dei Marini, the favorite place by the Agnelli family in the 60's and the family Chandon (manufacturers of the famous champagne), who had a beautiful villa overlooking the sea.
Going on is Praiano, another charming fishing village, rich of excellent and romantic restaurants overlooking the sea (we recommend IL PIRATA, in 2 meters from the sea!). Navigating to Ponente, Praiano offers two characteristic beaches: La Praia and follow the beach La Gavitella. Between the two, you go to the night club's most famous coast, built totally in a grotto, L'Africana night club, which has known the height of its splendor in the years around 60/80. Praiano is know for its amazing views on the sea and for its panoramic terraces on Positano and Capri.
Continuing, we get to Positano, which is the most sought-after summer destination on the coast. After Positano, the coast is even more exciting, a stretch of rocks and unspoilt and uninhabited until Nerano, where they meet again villages that were once the exclusive preserve of fishermen. Nerano from Punta Campanella and then jump to Capri, where guests can enjoy other scenarios and breathtaking beauty. A swim in the crystal clear waters islanders and Francesco will guide you through the most beautiful places, making you spend a day that will remain etched in your soul forever.
