But what is a Gozzo Amalfitano? Gozzo Amalfitano is a traditional fishing boat typical of the Amalfi Coast. These wooden boats have a distinctive design characterized by a high and tapered bow, which allows them to sail even in rough waters.
Traditionally, the gozzos were used by local fishermen for their daily work, but they have also become symbols of coastal tourism over time. Today, many of them are used for excursions along the coast, allowing visitors to discover the wonders of the Amalfi coast, such as hidden coves, sea caves, and picturesque coastal villages.
Indeed, they can be rented for sea trips, and tourists often take part in excursions that include swimming stops, fishing, or visiting places like Capri, Positano, or Amalfi.

–Ghibli Bellavita 40 – PJ: It is dedicated to the owner’s first son, who, as the tradition in southern Italy, also has the same name as the owner’s father. So P is for Pasquale (grandfather and grandson), and J is for Junior. This is a little widespread boat with an elegant design to accommodate families, and that’s also the reason for the side rail, which provides excellent safety for children on board.
–Tornado 38 – FJ: Built for the second son, Federico, to support the PJ, they were built with similar lengths to sail together in the coast waters. This modern, elegant, spacious motorboat has a large cabin and comfortable sunbathing.
–Tornado 44 – GJ: After two years, we expanded our fleet with a third boat, more significant in width and length. This boat takes its name from the owner’s third daughter, the first female Giorgia. With this boat, we offer a more luxurious service for families who need more assistance during the day. A hostess on board helps customers enjoy their tour along the coast or towards Capri.
But it was in 2023 that the owner’s dream came true.
-The Magnum Supremus 50 – Lady Rose, 16 meters/52 feet long. This boat is where you can sleep, have breakfast, and enjoy a personal chef who will cook typical dishes on the Amalfi coast, all staying on board, anchored offshore, or parked at the port.
This boat is named after the owner’s mother, Rosa (Lady Rose). For 40 years, she worked passionately and dedicatedly in the family yard with her husband, Pasquale.

The Amalfi coast is beautiful all year round, but April-June is undoubtedly the best time for your trip. The weather is warm enough to see all sights, whether that be by sea or land. The spring flowers have sprung and there is a new sense of warmth in the air, without the hustle and bustle from the crowds of the high season.
If however you love nightlife and festivals and are looking to join the fun, then July and August are definitely the months for you. These are the months in which most of the local events take place. Do remember that even even if you are planning to visit during the busiest months, you can still enjoy the coast in peace with one of our charter boats.
September is also a great time to visit the Amalfi coast, the weather is still pleasantly warm and many of the tourists have already left.
The winter months, running from November until Easter are by far the quietest of the year. The towns empty almost completely and along with this lots of the cafés, bars and restaurants close for a much needed break. The coastline has an even more dramatic look to it in these months with the wet weather and waves crashing against the cliff side homes.
How to get to the Amalfi Coast
There are many ways to reach the Amalfi Coast, by car, train and of course plane.
The airport in Naples is the closest if flying in directly, or if your travelling from another destination in Italy then you can reach Salerno. One of Italy’s railway stations with many fast-speed trains arriving from most major cities, from Salerno you can hop on a local train that takes you to Vietri Sul Mare, one of the 13 towns located in the Amalfi Coast (approximate 10 minute train journey).
If your arriving directly in Naples you can rent a car and make the journey yourselves from there, the Amalfi Coast is one of the world’s most famous road trips and ttravellin along it truly is an unforgettable experience.
A word of advice: if you do decide on renting a car and making the journey yourself, do be mindful that the roads of the Amalfi Coast can be extremely narrow, full of twists and turns with it’s many curves that you are often time required to reverse around. This is especially true during the high summer season and even more so on weekends!

The piazza of Praiano much like most towns in the South of Italy, is the heart of the town and is enjoyed by young and old alike. You can’t say you’ve visited Capri if you haven’t seen it from the sea. Admire the colors of the sea, the small bays and the splendid caves on board a private Yacht on a tour of the Island of Capri.

Villa San Michele is the life’s work of physician/author Axel Munthe, built j the 20th century it is now home to an extremely important art collection, the majority of which is of Roman, Etruscan or Egyptian origin. La Piazzetta: the most glamorous part of Capri Island
Take a bus and make your way back down to Capri, once arrived in the Piazzetta take a seat at one of the many bars, and enjoy a well deserved coffee or glass of wine after a long morning of sightseeing.
After a break in the beautiful Piazzetta, take a walk around the characteristic Via Camerelle, the main luxury shopping street with a wide range of beautiful stores to take in. At the end of this street, continue onto Via Tragara until you finally reach the spectacular view of the Faraglioni, the perfect opportunity to take some beautiful scenic photos!
Once you’ve finished taking in the sights and snapping the perfect pictures, go back the way you came along Via Tragara, until you make your way back to the Piazzetta. From here make your way back down to the port where your luxury Yatch awaits to set sail from the Island.
